Joplin Server

Open-source note-taking with Markdown, attachments, notebooks, tags. The full Joplin Server + Joplin Web experience, configured for production scale.

All notes encrypted with your password before leaving your device. We can't see your notes even if we wanted to. Per-device key derivation (Argon2id).

Multi-device clients

Free desktop apps (macOS, Windows, Linux) and mobile apps (iOS, Android). The Joplin Web client is browser-based — no install needed.

Warp-grade storage

5,000 IOPS Hyperdisk. 10k+ notes sync in seconds. 100GB of attachments on Premium tier.

Daisy AI included

Ask Daisy to summarize meeting notes, draft action items, or find related notes across notebooks. Free with every plan.

Free n8n

When a new note tagged "inbox" is created, post a Slack notification, create a task, or trigger any workflow. Free with annual.

Built for the privacy-conscious.

Writers and researchers

Markdown-native notes, end-to-end encrypted, with attachments. Joplin is the tool of choice for academic researchers, journalists, and book authors.

Privacy-first teams

Shared Joplin Server with role-based access. Each team member has their own encrypted notespace. IT can't read the contents.

Evernote/Notion migrators

Import .enex exports from Evernote. Migrate from Notion via the official Notion-to-Markdown exporter. Most teams complete migration in a weekend.

vs Evernote

Evernote is $129.99/yr for the Personal plan and increasingly bloated. Joplin on Leapjuice is $25/mo flat, open source, end-to-end encrypted, and you own all the data.

vs Notion

Notion is $10/user/mo, and your data lives on their servers. Joplin is markdown-native, open source, fully self-hosted, and you can edit notes with any text editor (vim, emacs, VS Code).

vs Obsidian (local-only)

Obsidian is great for local notes but has no native server sync — you need Obsidian Sync ($4/mo) or a third-party like iCloud/Google Drive. Joplin Server IS the sync layer, included.

Questions, answered.

Is Joplin really end-to-end encrypted?

Yes. All notes are encrypted with your password (Argon2id key derivation) before leaving your device. Even if someone gains access to our database, they see only ciphertext. You cannot recover your notes if you lose your password — that's the tradeoff for true E2E.

Can I use the Joplin desktop/mobile apps I already have?

Yes. Configure your existing Joplin app to sync with your Leapjuice instance. The setup is 2 minutes: enter the server URL, your username, and password.

What about Joplin Web?

Joplin Web is a browser-based client we pre-install. Edit notes in the browser without a desktop app. Less feature-rich than the desktop app but great for quick edits.

Can I import my Evernote notes?

Yes. Joplin has a built-in Evernote importer. Export your Evernote notebooks as .enex files, drag them into Joplin, and they sync to your Leapjuice instance.

How big can my notes get?

Tested with 50,000+ notes and 100GB+ attachments on Premium tier. Each note can be up to 200MB (handles big PDFs, images, etc.).

Notes that stay yours.

From $25/mo flat. 0% sales tax. 7-day refund.
